Gylfi Sigurdsson set to send Everton's transfer spending past £200 million

Everton set to take spending past £200m mark

Everton may have already spent big on a glut of summer signings -- but they haven't finished yet, according to the Mirror.
It reports that Ronald Koeman's Goodison Park revamp could yet include the arrival of long-term target Gylfi Sigurdsson from Swansea, with Koeman "closing in on the midfielder for nearly £50 million."
And if you thought the arrival of Sigurdsson might complete the picture, think again, because Everton "still want a new striker and a centre-back."
That striker could be either Arsenal's Olivier Giroud or Christian Benteke of Crystal Palace, while Everton are reported to be weighing up a number of defensive options.
The Merseysiders have brought in Wayne Rooney, Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Davy Klaassen, Sandro Ramirez, Henry Onyekuru and Cuco Martina since the window opened.
